Land and See
This short poetic experience was created in as a gift for someone as well as a visual style experiment. It was built entirely in Blender for the Blender Game Engine.
The game opens with a human sitting on the edge of a small dock watching a river. The player can push the Space Bar to initiate the character to stand up and dive into the water — where they swim off into a sea of swirling colors and light.

The water ripples were made by sliding a texture across their mesh UVs. Ripples further from the camera had UVs that were elongated to make the effect slower and more exaggerated. This was done to make the distant ripples feel further from the camera than they actually were.
